Welcome to the Pensacola Cyber Army! This is our blog, as permanent a place as we have to write down our thoughts about current events, our feelings about artificial intelligence and the rise of AI girlfriends, and maybe a few technical articles about hacks, Linux, and computing in general.
I guess I should share a little about myself, to start things off. Hi, I’m chef_penguin, currently a student of cybersecurity, fighting desperately to break into a job market that isn’t exactly friendly to anybody without years of experience and a security clearance. I’ve got my Sec+, CYSA+, CCNA, and C)DFE, and I’m working towards my RHCSA, CASP+, and C)ISSO, and it still feels like I’m behind the curve sometimes. Thanks to @dancing_bytes for giving me the chance to help out and do something productive.
I’m working on more projects than I can really list out here. My main one is my homelab, a Proxmox hypervisor running a few different VMs that has basically become a replacement for most cloud services. At the time of writing, I’ve got:
- SterlingPDF for PDF manipulation
- NextCloud for quick and easy network storage
- Vikunja for project management
- ARM for ripping
- Jellyfin for videos on my LAN
- Liquidsoap for managing my own LAN radio thing
- Icecast for serving the LAN radio thing
- PiHole for a DNS blackhole
If anything breaks, please shoot me a message @chef_penguin on Discord!
